About
Lipo Seoul Center handles liposuction, fat grafting and revision liposuction, and nothing else. The lead director is a general surgery specialist and PhD with 31 years on fat procedures, over 40,000 personally performed operations, and a listing in the IBC international biographical dictionary in 2015 for work on liposuction and long cannula technique. He developed the clinic's long cannula, up to 100cm, which allows fewer and better-hidden incision points on large-area work, and authored a book on calf aesthetics. The practice performed Korea's first calf muscle reduction procedure in 2006 and built a dedicated revision liposuction system in 2012.
Technique: what is actually different
Three things distinguish the approach and all three are checkable at consultation. First, the long cannula, up to 100cm, means large areas such as a 360 abdomen or full thigh can be reached from fewer entry points, and those points sit in hidden creases. Second, the clinic injects a smaller volume of tumescent solution than is typical and checks the contour line during the operation rather than relying on a pre-marked plan, which is a slower way to work. Third, suction is targeted at the middle fat layer specifically to preserve the SVF-rich portion, since the harvested fat feeds the cell processing used in grafting.
Equipment stated for liposuction
- Long cannula up to 100cm with hidden incision placement
- Pump-type high-volume extraction system
- Laser and ultrasound tightening for skin retraction
- Endoscope and ultrasound for pre-operative fat mapping
- Self-donated blood system for larger volume cases
Priced and timed by area
The practice publishes a starting price, an operating time and a suture removal day for each area rather than quoting a single figure after consultation. That transparency is the practical reason to shortlist it: you can compare like for like against other clinics before you travel. Note that published figures are event pricing, exclude VAT, and vary by operating surgeon. Blood testing, the compression garment and any weight-based surcharge are separate.
| Treatment area | From (KRW) | Time / sutures out |
|---|---|---|
| Signature waist, pelvis and saddle | 6,600,000 | About 3 hours / day 7 |
| Thigh, full 360 with inner knee | 5,800,000 | About 3 hours / day 7 |
| Male: gynecomastia, abdomen, flanks | 4,400,000 | About 2 hours per area / day 7 |
| Abdomen with love handles and bra line | 2,100,000 | About 3 hours / day 7 |
| Special areas: shoulder blade, hump, ankle | 1,700,000 | 1-2 hours each / day 7 |
| Arm, 270 degree | 1,400,000 | About 2 hours / day 7 |
| V-line face and submental | 1,390,000 | About 1 hour / day 5 |
| Revision liposuction | Quoted after assessment | Varies / day 7 |
Published event pricing, VAT excluded, varying by operating surgeon. Blood testing, compression garment and weight-based surcharges are billed separately. Suture removal day is the clinic's own schedule.
Revision liposuction is a named specialty
The clinic built a dedicated revision system in 2012, which matters because revision is technically different work: the surgeon operates through scar tissue that has bound skin to the underlying layer, and correcting a contour dent usually needs grafting rather than more suction. Revision cases here are quoted after assessment rather than from a price list, use sedation or general anesthesia depending on the extent, and follow the same seven-day suture removal schedule as primary work.
What is included after surgery
Compression is worn full-time for the first three days and then continues on a reduced schedule, and two aftercare sessions are included in the quoted fee. The clinic states an emergency call system and surgeon rounds during recovery. For overseas patients this is the part worth confirming in writing: which sessions are included, what a third or fourth session costs, and how follow-up works once you have flown home.
